got about 6 miles in - longest run for me!
Also ran with a good friend today, first time I've run with someone. Talking and running is a bit harder, but the run was easier.
"In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that." -Fred Lebow, New York City Marathon co-founder

March 2011
week of 3/20-26: I got about 20 miles in. Building up endurance again, and trying to get more distance and speed. They seem to be opposing forces for me.

4 miles
there was snow on the ground, but I got pretty warm on the first half of my run. The second half involved both the wind in my face and the hill, so it was slow-going. My hamstring hurts, and I think I'm taking a rest day tomorrow!

2011, here I come!
I haven't blogged in a while, but I have kept my running up. I finished my first race ever, the Turkey Trot 5K in Norwich, NY. I finished in about 32 minutes, which is a bit slow, but I was recovering from a nasty cold.
I also discovered running in the cold is not really any fun, but it does still feel good when you finish.
My main running goal this year - to run the Binghamton Bridge Run half-marathon in May.
I got 4 slow miles in today, but this is only the second time I've run since I have recovered from strep throat and the holidays.
